About Me

I remember as I child sitting on the floor of my room, playing against myself with two Yu-Gi-Oh decks I had built. I was testing them. Imagining myself in the position of each player, trying to separate what information is known and unknown to me. This was in order to create an accurate test, and to adjust and improve each deck accordingly. I didn’t know it then, but I was a game designer in spirit long before I got my degree.

 

 

My love of games (physical and digital) led me to DigiPen Institute of Technology, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Game Design in 2020. At DigiPen I learned from experienced industry professionals about the many different disciplines of game design. I worked on team projects designed to simulate industry development cycles and refined my skills as a game designer.

I have a great intuition for all design, but my specialty is in designing mechanics and as a narrative designer. I have a lot of experience working on projects with other designers as well as developers from other disciplines, such as artists, sound designers, and programmers. I’m a fast learner who is not afraid to ask questions and am also able to work independently and motivate myself toward a goal or deadline.

When I’m not working on projects, I’m refining my skills playing Smite, Hearthstone, or Magic the Gathering Arena, spending time with my Wife and Dog, or writing and running campaigns for my friends in D&D 5e.
